NATIONAL METASTATIC BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
On October 13, 2026, Bank of America Plaza will light teal, green and pink in recognition of National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Observed annually on October 13, National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day is a dedicated day to focus on Stage IV breast cancer. Unlike early-stage breast cancer awareness campaigns, this day emphasizes the reality of metastatic breast cancer (MBC)—where the disease has spread to other organs and remains treatable but incurable. The day serves as a critical call to action to redirect more research funding toward finding a cure, supporting patients, and changing the statistic that MBC claims more than 40,000 lives each year in the United States alone.
